Samsø is Denmark’s sustainable island. Samsø has since 2003 been 100% self sustainable with renewable energy, and the goal is now to make Samsø a full Circular Economy island by 2030. One of the worlds most ambitious projects within the field.
Minor Change Group is part of the project as change drivers, which has given the project renewed energy. The goal is to ensure Samsø’s development, settlement and growth, and that the island will be a place where sustainable engagement and driving forces within the field will meet. We work with collaborative innovation, business development, involvement, workshops, establishing partnerships and engaged collaborations, funding and also at a very concrete level with a waste water project where the farmers and the water treatment fascilities find the most sustainable solution together. We ensure that Circular Economy is integrated the whole way round. An example of this can be seen in the biomass form agriculture being used in the gas ferry that connect the island to the main land.
